I fucking love vlogs, dude.
One of the biggest draws for me back when YouTube first became a thing was other people just posting daily videos about their every day lives. We see that now more than ever today, but back in '08, it was a very new concept.
It reminds me of back when I used to make vlogs of my friends and I running rampant through a Target and getting chased out by security or visiting the Old Towne Mall in Frederick, MD before it closed and chasing my friends down, only to find one of them peeing in the corner of a Bonton. We made videos of us performing skits we wrote and local bands we interviewed for our old radio network we created called Frog Box Radio. We jumped off train cars and shoved each other into car trunks and drove around for an hour. We hit each other with a car at 5 mph, just for fun. We even faked a kidnapping in a mall that no longer exists.
Of course, I no longer have these videos and they probably would've been deleted from YouTube by now anyways, due to how shitty the quality was, but after making a little vlog about my small journey in getting the first issue of DESTROY ZINE, I realized how much I miss making those videos.
I'm actually in the process of getting the last of the equipment I need to build my skateboard, so I'll probably make a little video on the progress of that, plus getting and opening comics that I have coming that I'm super stoked about.
The reason behind this post? I'm one of the many that enjoys a look into the lives of others, even if they think it's dumb.
You have artwork you wanna share? Let's see it!
You wanna make skateboarding videos, but not sure anyone will care? Send 'em my way!
Make dumb videos with your friends.
Turn those videos into music videos.
All I ask? Be safe. Be smart. Make memories.
That's all I really have on the subject for now.
Sorry I've been slacking on these.
It's been the same with all of my projects (hard-core procrastinator over here).
I do have stuff in the works!
Keep your 👁👁 peeled, buds!
